This morning on the drive into school, I found myself explaining to the car pool girls that one day you would feel different about Justin Bieber. That no one was dorkier than Ryan Gosling and Justin Timberlake back in the day. And now look at them. Mariama: Mom everybody's mom loves Justin Timberlake and Ryan Gosling. Me: Yes, yes they do.. (Then Phillip Phillips comes on the radio) Mariama: Now there's a beautiful dude. Now I'm going to have to go watch The Notebook again... They are life-sized -Margaret Atwood This quote reminded me of Grace and Nora and the conversations I overhear between them. Having three young girls, I'm realizing how hard it is sometimes to be almost ten or almost thirteen.. They are experiencing it for the first time. Stepping back and letting them live that is a lesson in parenting.

I am so happy to share these Mabel and the Chicken photos. I had to find a little chicken poem.. Last Night I Dreamed of Chickens Last night I dreamed of chickens, there were chickens everywhere, they were standing on my stomach, they were nesting in my hair, they were pecking at my pillow, they were hopping on my head, they were ruffling up their feathers as they raced about my bed.
